Sonia Di Stefano Architectural Designer BA, Architecture (United Kingdom) Registered with Venezuelan Order of Architects

Building projects normally require plans of one kind or another. Design and building plans are used to show the existing and proposed descriptions in order to visualise, communicate and approve the concept and technical specifications of a project between the involved parties: owners, designers, authorities and builders. If your project requires Planning Application, then a full set of design plans along with technical drawings will be required as well.
Once an architect is instructed and has a fair idea of what the client requires, the first step is to setup an appointment to take detailed measurements. The first set of drawings will relate to the existing building and once those have been completed the designer can then start to work on the design plans for the project.
